My first memory of falling in love with art was when I was about 4. I would lie on my back and draw on the underside of our coffee table. I gleefully doodled 8 legged dogs and horses like a tiny Michelangelo. I'm not sure my parents knew what I had done until we moved, when they eventually flipped over the coffee table to discover my stick- figure Sistine Chapel.
Throughout my childhood, I drew regularly and furiously. I drew enough that I managed to make it into the visual arts magnet at my high school and then eventually the graphic design department of Western Kentucky University. It was there I was encouraged to pursue illustration along with design, and I fell in love with it. Now, I search for fun ways to combine my passions for both, sharpening my skills in tandem.
Since graduating in 2016, I've done countless art commissions, opened an online store, vended at art shows, and held several contract design jobs. I currently live with my husband (a fellow artist) in Raleigh, NC. I love cartoons, children's books, vintage fashion, theme parks, and all things Halloween. When I'm not drawing or designing, you can find me at a coffee shop, thrifting, or watching movies with my cats.
